Michael Keith Smith
November 29, 1946 - May 11, 2024

Louisburg, NC--Michael Keith Smith, Sr., 77, of Louisburg passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

He was born on November 29, 1946 to the late Jesse Willard and Annie Mae Hunt Smith.

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by a son, Michael Keith Smith, Jr. and brothers, C.J. Smith and Dennis Ruffin Smith.

Mike is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Jean Taylor Smith; sons, Dale Bradberry (Lisa) and Christopher Smith; grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Brandon Bradberry, Ryan Bradberry, and Zachary Bradberry; his great-grandchild, Dawson; his siblings, Willard Smith (Carolyn), Phillip Smith (Brenda), Connie Collins (Floyd), Alice Abbott (William), Cornelia Clark, and Jewel Smith; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mike was a lifelong farmer and Franklin County resident. He served in the U.S. Army, and also worked for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at the jail, and with Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Mike served as a deacon at Corinth Baptist Church, where he also served on the building and grounds committee. Mike loved his family and was a man you could depend on.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Corinth Baptist Church, 4582 US 401 Hwy N. Louisburg, NC 27549, where funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at all other times at the home.
