Luther Paschal "Micky" Brown III
August 12, 1953 - November 30, 2024
Luther Paschal "Micky" Brown III

YOUNGSVILLE, NC--Luther Paschal "Micky" Brown III, 71, was born August 12, 1953, in Raleigh, NC and transitioned to his heavenly home on November 30, 2024. His father and mother, LP and Doris, preceded him in death.

Micky is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Clara Wallace Brown of Youngsville; sisters, Becky Browne of Wake Forest, Donna Moore (Steven) of Loudon, TN and sister-in-law Irene Graham (Larry) of Southern Pines. Micky and Clara's niece, Kim Graham, has been an immense help to them through the years. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and forever friends.

Micky graduated from Garner Senior High School in 1971 and began his work career with the State of North Carolina as a Site Surveyor. He then went to work with the United States Postal Service and worked in New Bern and Wake Forest before retiring as Postmaster in 2009 from the Creedmoor Post Office. He couldn't stay retired and still for long, so he went to work with Leith Nissan, twice, as a Porter and worked until leaving in May 2024.

He was very involved with Wake Forest United Methodist Church, serving as an Usher and Treasurer, also with the Prison Ministries (KAIROS and TORCH) as well as Mission trips to Jamaica and throughout the state of North Carolina. He was also a member of Garner Lodge #701, Grand Lodge of AF & AM of North Carolina.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 18th at 2 p.m. at the Wake Forest United Methodist Church, 905 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587, with visitation following in the Family Life Center.

Flowers are appreciated, but please consider donations to Missions of Wake Forest United Methodist Church.

Brown-Wynne, 300 Saint Mary's St., Raleigh, is serving the Brown family.
