Joseph Cosimo Baptiste
May 16, 1941 - February 12, 2025

Raleigh, NC -- Joseph C Baptiste of Raleigh, NC passed away peacefully on 12 February 2025 at the VA hospital in Durham. Born on May 16th 1941 in Gloucester, MA, he was the son of Antoinette (Toni) and Joaquin Baptiste.

Joe proudly served in the United States Navy, where he dedicated his life to service and leadership. A devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Joe was known for his unwavering integrity, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a man of his word and a source of strength and guidance to all who knew him. Joe's legacy will live on through his daughter, Kimberley and grandchildren Lauren and Ryan.

Outside of his military service, Joe enjoyed working with his hands, and his warmth, generosity, and strong moral character left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service to honor his remarkable life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh. All who knew him are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of this extraordinary man. Joe won't mind what you wear, he would just would want you to be comfortable.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Boys and Girl Club in Louisburg, 53 West River Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of service, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
