Elias Murphy
July 1, 1931 - October 1, 2025

LOUISBURG, NC -- Elias Murphy Jr., 94, passed away on October 01, 2025 at his home in Louisburg, NC. Elias was born on July 01, 1931 to the late Elias and Ellie Shearin Murphy. In addition to his parents, Elias was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Carter Murphy.

Elias is survived by his children, Cardain Murphy (Wendy), Charolette Wester (Thomas), and Lydia Stallings (Wayne); his grandchildren, Dain Murphy, Jeremy Stallings (Jama), Jama Claire Currin (Trey), Kimberly Isgar (Paul), and Jordan Stallings; and his 5 great-grandchildren, Josie, Penelope, Joshua, Elias, and Murphy.

Friends and family were received from 1 - 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd Louisburg, NC 27549. A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. at Lancaster Memorial Park, 2210 Highway 561, Louisburg NC 27549.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
