EVELYN LOUISE RIVERA

FRANKLINTON, NC -- Evelyn Louise Rivera, 67, of Franklinton, affectionately known as "Ann," was born in Southampton, New York, on Feb. 23, 1958, to Booker T. Laird and the late Lou Gertie Epps.

Evelyn lived in New York for many years and, upon retirement, relocated to Franklinton.

She died on Oct. 31, 2025. She was preceded in death by her mother; one son, Joseph Rivera; and her brothers, Timothy Kent, Terry Kenneth and Noble Laird.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Rivera; children, Bobby Bradford (Erin) of Rhode Island, William Rivera, II (Carrie) of North Carolina, and Latiara Laird (Alala) of Virginia; daughter-in-law, Jessica Rivera; 10 grand-children, sister, Cinti Laird of California; brothers, Gerald Laird, Sr. of California, and Alan and Alvin Laird both of New York; father, Booker T. Laird of Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be Saturday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton. Director Joseph B. Cutchins, Jr., CFSP, officiating.
