N. DREW CARROLL, JR.
February 24,1937 - November 6, 2025
Drew Carroll Jr

LOUISBURG, NC -- Nathaniel Drew Carroll Jr 88 of Louisburg, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, November 6, 2025, in his home.

Drew was born in Warren county to the late Nathaniel Drew Carroll Sr. and Louise R. Carroll.

Drew was a retired industrial mechanic from Westinghouse. In his younger days, he enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. After the grandkids came along, he mostly stayed around the house spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also loved riding on his Kubota side by side on his farm and going to visit with family and friends. He was well known in the Royal community and had a passion for collecting a variety of items such as glass bottles, thermometers, and clocks to display in his shop.

He spent countless hours in that shop--working, tinkering, and "supervising the boys," always ready to tell them exactly what to do and how to fix it. In his later years, he developed quite the sweet tooth. He especially loved bananas, cookies, and chocolate milkshakes. No matter how hard "Ma" tried to hide them, he always managed to find his treats.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 11th in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at his shop. A private burial will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday.

Drew is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary K. Carroll; daughters, Debbie Carroll; Teresa (Randy) Davis; sister, Martha (James) Bailey; brother, Wesley (Mary) Carroll; grandchildren, David (Erin) Woodlief, Blake (Holly) Hunter, Matthew (Paige) Hunter; great-grandchildren Dakota Woodlief, Isaiah Woodlief, Kenley Woodlief, Nora Hunter, Sadie Hunter, Abel Phelps, Justin Hunter, and Olivia Hunter.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Drew.

Arrangements are by Stricklands Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
