Curtis Wayne Daniel, Sr
September 14, 1936 - January 11, 2026

CASTALIA, NC -- Curtis Wayne Daniel, Sr, 89, of Castalia, N.C. passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He was the husband of the late Eva Jean McCulloch Daniel.

Born in Tennessee on September 14, 1936, he was the son of the late Henry Broadus Daniel, Sr. and the late Doris May Robertson Daniel. Curtis was a former employee of North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

Curtis is survived by a daughter, Pamela Daniel Cooper (Charles) of Castalia, N.C.; two sons, Curtis Wayne Daniel, Jr. (Dianne) of Louisburg, N.C. and David Christopher Daniel (Paula) of Castalia, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christopher Wayne Cooper of Castalia, Charlsie Cooper Vanderpoel (Brent), of Norlina, N.C. and Casey LaRay Daniel of Nebraska; five great-grandchildren; a brother,Harold Judson Daniel (Vickey) of Alton; a daughter in law Terrill Jacobsen and her daughter, Mia Borowiak.

Curtis was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Broadus Daniel, Jr., and Harry Thomas Daniel.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will have visitation one hour prior to the service.
