Voncile Barnette Strickland went to be with her Lord and beloved husband, Bruce Strickland on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Voncile was a spirited soul, full of life and social graces. She was most proud of her job as test audit supervisor and customer requirement specialist for ITT Telecommunications. She was truly a grand lady, loving and kind. Everyone loved her, too many to list, but she made sure they knew it.
Voncile is survived by her only child, who she was so proud of, Rhonda Irwin.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel of Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest.
Her wish to honor her memory was, in lieu of flowers to donate to Youngsville Baptist Church, PO Box 297, Youngsville, NC, 27596, to assist with enhancing the children's program, a true passion she never wavered from.
