LINDA D. SHEARON
April 11, 1945 - May 17, 2026

Linda passed away peacefully on May 17 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

Linda was a daughter of the late Beecher Dorsey and Emily Honeycutt Dorsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Shearon; her daughter, Pam Leonard and her infant daughter, Linda Renee; brothers, Lawrence Elwood Dorsey, Bennett Talmadge Dorsey and Sherman Benton Dorsey; sisters, Vera Gray Tharrington, Barbara D. Layton and Brenda D Burnette.

Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Calvin Nachtrab; grandsons, Caleb Leonard (Jennifer) of Youngsville; Zachary Leonard of Louisburg; granddaughter, Rachel Nachtrab of Raleigh; great granddaughter, Claire Leonard of Louisburg; sister Jackie Parrish of Louisburg.

Linda retired from Nash County Social Services many years ago. She loved to cook, garden, serve her church, collect NC pottery, and to laugh with her friends and family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 12 - 2 p.m. Friday at White Level Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, all are invited to have lunch and visit. Please dress casual. There will be a private graveside service at the Dorsey Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
