LOUISBURG - William H. “Bill” Cross, 62, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 at Rex Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday afternoon, Nov. 20, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park, with the Rev. Tara Lain of Leah’s Chapel UMC officiating.
He was born in Raleigh to the late William Henry Cross and Mary Ruth Daughtry Cross, who survives. He was a Vietnam veteran and served as a Navy Seebee. He worked for Progress Energy.
Surviving, in addition to his mother: wife, Bettye Wright Cross; daughters, Tammy Warburton (Tom) and Michelle Flowers (Todd); brother, Gary Cross; and three grandchildren.
