KATHLEEN M. MCCLEAN
HENDERSON - Kathleen McCormick McClean, 83, of NC Highway 39 N, Louisburg, died Friday, March 7, 2008 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 9, at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. George D. Speake. Burial followed in Union Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Born in Scotland County, she was the daughter of the late James Duncan McCormick Sr. and Harriet Benton McCormick and the widow of the late Rev. Robert Abner McClean. She was a former president of Children’s Work at the N. C. United Methodist Conference.

Surviving: two daughters, Patricia M. Brink (Dennis) of Greensboro and Margaret M. Woodlief of Raleigh; sisters, Rachael Bean, Margaret Paul, and Mildred Perkins, all of Laurinburg; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Robenhorst, Ethel Trawick, and Alma McGirt; two brothers, J. D. McCormick and Sam McCormick.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Methodist Children’s Home, P. O. Box 10917, Raleigh, NC 27605.

I worked at Britthaven where Mrs. McClean resided... She was such a sweet lady with such a sweet spirit.. I used to love to go in her room and here her sing... She will be missed...
