TIMOTHY S. FOX
April 27, 1948 - February 3, 2023

LOUISBURG, NC -- Timothy Stewart Fox, 74, of Louisburg, N.C. passed away peacefully at his home Thursday morning, February 3, 2023.

He was a true warrior in his battle against his health issues.

Tim was born April 27, 1948 in Celina, Ohio, the son of Glen(Grinny) Stewart Fox and Dorothy Bollenbacher Fox.

Tim graduated Parkway High School in 1966. In 1967 he entered the US Army and served in Vietnam.

In 1970 he married Diana Sipe and in 1980 they moved their family to North Carolina where he began his 23 years with Northern Telecom(Nortel). Never one to enjoy retirement, he spent time working for Wesbell and attened Vance Granville Community College picking up his degree in HVAC. He was later hired by the college to teach the course and also picked up teaching positions at Butner Federal Prison and Warren County Correctional Institute teaching HVAC and Electrical. He loved being a teacher.

After being diagnosed and undergoing both chemo and radiation treatments for his lung cancer, he entered the retail world. He was the Electrical Pro at Lowe's in Wake Forest and then worked at ACE Hardware in Louisburg.

Tim was a 'people person' never meeting a stranger. He was loved by all his neighbors for always being available to help in any way he could. He was also very active in both his local and Ohio Moose association where he had many good friends.

Tim is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Diana; a son, Christopher Fox of Greensboro, NC; a daughter, Toby Hawkins of Raleigh, NC; his four beloved grandchildren, Garrett Estes, Wake Forest, NC; Hunter Estes, Youngsville, NC; Savanna and Jaime Lohrey of Franklinton, NC; sisters Pam Stose of Celina, Ohio and Debi Van Gundy(Dave) of Ft. Myers, FL; Nephews Mick(Rhonda)Stose, Cory(Beth) Van Gundy, Josh(Jen) Van Gundy, Cole(Molly) Van Gundy, Nieces Kelly(Steve)Loxley, Cindy(Jamie)Carver; sister-in-law Susan(Gary)Brown. Tim also leaves behind his much loved furkids Brooklyn(lab), Pippi, Sassy, Kismet, Finn, Tres and Molly(the cats).

Celebrations of Life will be held at a later date, both at the Louisburg home and in his hometown of Celina, Ohio. It was Tim's wish that his friends and family not mourn but reminisce and celebrate the good times he was with them.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tim's name to Wounded Warrior Project. www.WoundedWarriorProject.org

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, 103 W. Franklin Street, Louisburg, NC 27549, stricklandfuneralhome.net
