ANNIE MAE BATTON
August 12, 1938 - February 24, 2018

BUNN - Annie Mae Batton, 79, of 297 Alford Mill Rd., Bunn, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning. She was born in Nash County, a daughter of the late Jodie J. Burgess and Annie Morris Burgess. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Batton.

BETTY JANE CONKLIN

LOUISBURG--Betty Jane Conklin, age 85, died peacefully on February 25, 2018, in Fayetteville, NC. Betty was born March 14, 1932, in Boone County, WV, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Zornes. Betty raised two sons and worked for the United States Air Force for 33 years, retiring as secretary to the Deputy Secretary of the Air Force at The Pentagon in Washington, DC.

LOUISBURG--Pauline Weaver Cheaves, 90, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 after a period of declining health. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at Rock Spring Baptist Church, 34 Rock Spring Church Road, Louisburg, where funeral services will follow at 12 p.m., with the Rev. Melton Tyson and Pastor Roy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

LOUISBURG--Roy Newcomb Abbott, 85, of Louisburg departed this earthly life on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Louisburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 24, 1932 to the late Eugene and Betty Gooch Abbott. Roy was a hard worker and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, riding his lawn mower and golf cart.
