RALEIGH--Funeral services for Charles "Big Charles" Arrington, 52, who died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. in the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Minister William Henderson, eulogist. Burial will follow in the Arrington family cemetery.

FRANKLINTON--Dorothy Pergerson Piper Wester, 84, of Franklinton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 12, 2020 with her children by her side. Dorothy was born June 19th, 1936 to the late Benard Pergerson, Sr. and Louise Gupton Pergerson. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Piper; second husband, Bobby Wester; brothers, Col. Bernard Sharb Pergerson, Jr, Franklin Baer "FB" Pergerson; and sister, Barbara Pergerson Hudson.

LOUISBURG - Janie Conn Edwards Merritt, 90, died peacefully Sunday morning at Louisburg Nursing Center. She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Frank and Annie Beatrice Conn Edwards. She was preceded in death her husband of 67 years, Ollie Morrison Merritt, and her brother, William Edwards.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Blondie Horton Murray; son, Philip Scott Murray; and brothers, William and Wayne Murray. Philip loved his family He enjoyed drinking Mountain Dew, crossword puzzles and especially fishing.
