Assistant elevated to Youngsville manager
Assistant elevated to Youngsville manager

YOUNGSVILLE -- After a national search for its next town manager, Youngsville officials decided to keep it local.
Following Monday's special-called meeting to interview two last candidates, the board decided to elevate Assistant Town Manager Will Doerfer to the town manager post.
The decision, said Mayor Fonzie Flowers, followed an exhaustive national recruitment process designed to identify the most qualified and visionary leader for our growing community.

Bunn church target of vandals

BUNN ­-- Bunn police are looking for suspects who broke into and vandalized a church.
The pastor of World Overcomers Christian Church reported the morning of Nov. 19 that someone broke into the church in the 700 block of Main Street.
Suspects are alleged to have discharged fire extinguishers inside the church, as well as dumped paint on the floor.
Suspects are believed to have forced their way in through the back door.

Two workers hurt by electricity

FRANKLINTON -- Emergency crews responded to a reported non-fatal electrocution on Monday afternoon.
According to Broadcastify and emergency responders, two people appeared to be performing some home repairs at a house in the 4400 block of West River Road when they were electrocuted.
Police arrived at around 2 p.m. to find them both conscious and alert and medical crews arrived to provide treatment.
