Thomas John Reghanti

Louisburg, NC -- Thomas John Reghanti, 73, passed away on April 21, 2026 at home in Louisburg, NC. Thomas was born on December 24, 1952 in Chicago, IL to the late Thomas Jules and Violette J. Reghanti.

Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas J. Reghanti of Raleigh, NC; life partner, Marguerite P. Reghanti of Louisburg, NC; sister, Noel L. Reghanti of Chicago, IL; sister, Melissa A. Reghanti of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Jed D. Reghanti of Los Angeles, CA; niece Alexa X. Reghanti of Chicago, IL; niece Erika V. Reghanti of Los Angeles, CA.

Thomas went to Bullis preparatory school in Potomac, Maryland after high school then on to UNC Chapel Hill to play football for the Tarheels where he met Marguerite. After being married they moved to Temple Terrace, FL then to Tampa, FL in 1986 where they had their son Thomas in 1990. He was a business and finance educator for Hillsborough county public schools and taught the majority of his career at Brandon High School being one of the founders of the Academy of Finance program. He loved racquetball and golf. He was a member of the YMCA and stood on the board until moving to Louisburg, NC in 2015. In his retirement years he worked at ACE hardware in town and was an avid gym goer. He spent a lot of time with the family dog Jackie and frequented the local parks. He loved his family, reading and was a frequent donor to local and international charities.

Services for Thomas will be private.
