FRANKLINTON - Walter M. Beckham, 76, of Franklinton, died April 17, 2013. He was formerly Chief of Police of Franklinton and Chief Deputy Sheriff of Franklin County.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ronald and Edna Beckham, and brother, Dan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Stallings Beckham; loving children, Donnie Beckham, Hope Morath, Gail Honeycutt, Karen Tant; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred, Sidney, Ronnie and Harvey; sisters Roxie and Mary Etta.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, at 2:00 p.m., with graveside services following at Perry’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Wake County. Online condolences at www.hallwynne.com
