KENAN P. TIMBERLAKE
LOUISBURG - Kenan Parmele Timberlake, of Louisburg, died on August 18, 2013, at Duke University Medical Center. She was born in Lumberton NC, on March 23, 1941, to Bill and Nell Parmele. 

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Timberlake; her children, Al Bolton and his wife, Lugene, Bill Bolton and his wife, Lisa; and her grandchildren, Casey, Crawford, Tyler, Cooper, Whitney and Cale Bolton. She was preceded in death by her parents.   

Kenan resided in Louisburg, NC for 48 years. She was a teacher at Louisburg Elementary School, taught Sunday School at Louisburg United Methodist Church and was a member of the Louisburg United Methodist Women. She was an avid gardener and loved to play bridge. She was devoted to her grandchildren and tried to attend all their activities. They adored her and called her “G.G” for Gorgeous Grandma.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Louisburg United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Main and Noble Streets. The Reverend Madison Hankal will officiate. A reception in the fellowship hall will follow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Louisburg United Methodist Church at P.O. Box 667, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Kenan was a dear friend and co-worker. I saw her a few weeks ago a Duke Medical Center and she gave a me a winning smiling plus our usual hug.
