LARRY WAYNE MURPHY

WHITE LEVEL - Larry Wayne Murphy, 68, of White Level died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at home.  He was born March 7, 1945 to the late Willie Louis and Mary Lou Gupton Murphy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Murphy Alley.    

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Griffin Murphy; son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Amanda Murphy; daughter, Veegie Diane Murphy; and a beloved granddaughter, Caleigh Murphy. He is also survived by a brother, Danny Morris Murphy, and three nieces.

After being a police officer in Raleigh and working for a finance company, Mr. Murphy spent twenty years with the State of North Carolina at Central Prison.

Graveside services were held at the Murphy Family Gravesite at 2:00 p.m. on February 10, 2014 with the Rev. Henry Stamper officiating.  The family received friends at the family home.
