YOUNGSVILLE - William Burt Ladd died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. at New Hope Christian Church, with the Rev. Steve Barham officiating.
He was born and raised in Garner and is the son of the Lillian Mae Penney and the late Robert Early Ladd. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Glinda Dreisbach.
Surviving: wife, Rita Daphine; mother, Lillian Penney Ladd of Smithfield; son, Allen Ladd (Karen) of Wendell; daughter, Tracey Galloway of Wilmington; sister, Linda Austin of Clayton; brother, Richard Ladd (Wanda) of Selma; one grandson; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
