HERMAN R. "RUDY" HOFFMAN

FRANKLINTON - Herman Rudolph "Rudy" Hoffmann, III, 73, of Franklinton, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Transitions Life Care.

He was born on January 15, 1942 to the late Herman Rudolph Hoffmann, Jr. and Helen Beckett Hoffmann.

Rudy greatly cherished his family. He was a master gardener, master beekeeper and card player. He enjoyed the time spent with his friends at the senior center in Louisburg and Nashville.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-four years, Linda Bailey Hoffmann; children, Michele Zelvis (Richard), Lisa Schnack (David), and Jeff Hoffmann (Angela); grandchildren, Dr. Jennifer Zelvis Wilson (Brian), Michael Keith, Kevin Zelvis (Aggie), Sgt. Scott Schnack (Kim), Alicia Schnack, Christy Goss (Rock), SrA Corey Hoffmann (Abby), and Chelsea Jackson (Garrett), as well as his great-grandchildren, Caylee, Gavin, Dalton, Cadance, and Isabel.

Funeral services were held at 4 PM on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Mike Edwards officiating. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to The Beekeepers Association, 103 S. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg, NC 27549.
