JOHNETTE J. BEAM

CHESTER, SC -- Johnette Catherine Jones Beam, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 7, 2016 from her home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Fowler and Reverend Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beam was born on May 28, 1942 in Louisburg, NC and was a daughter of the late John B. Jones and Mattie Frances Moore Jones. She was the widow of Thomas G. "Jerry" Beam. Mrs. Beam was a graduate of Mills High School in Louisburg, NC and received her Laboratory Technician Certification from a school in Asheville, NC. She was retired from Chester County Nursing Center and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Beam was an avid cross sititcher and loved to read.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan Byars (Ronnie), and one son, Michael Beam (Kimberly), all of Chester, SC; one sister, Trudy J. Thomas of Louisburg, NC; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Beam was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances A. McWatters.
