M. MAXINE BALL
October 17, 1923 - November 4, 2016

LOUISBURG - Margie Maxine Murray Ball, 93, of Louisburg, died Friday morning.

Mrs. Ball was a daughter of the late Frank and Lena Bobbitt Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Foster Ball, Sr.; sister, Dee Harris; brothers, Winford Murray, Wade Murray and Lee Murray; grandson, Wayne Bobbitt; and great-grandson, Christian Teasley.

A funeral service was held 2 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Ball is survived by her daughters, Catherine B. Bobbitt of Louisburg, Deborah B. Jones of Raleigh, Carolyn B. Whitehurst (Guy) of Oxford; sons, George Foster Ball, Jr. (Hilda) of Littleton, Michael Ball of Louisburg; sister, Pattie Ruth Tharrington of Louisburg; brother, James Murray (Etta Mae) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Barry Bobbitt and Ronnie Bobbitt, James "Jamie" Barnwell, Jr., Jerry Ball, Lauren Ball, Wanda Jones; great-grandchildren, Steven Bobbitt, Kathy Bobbitt, Dean Bobbitt, Kyle Bobbitt and Chase Bobbitt; Reaghan Ball, Beau Foster Ball; Ethan Barnwell, Aaron Barnwell and Kaylee Barnwell; Kiara Teasley and Toni Teasley; 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Grove Baptist Church, 834 Alert Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 7 - 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg and other times at the home of Catherine Bobbitt 522 Alert Rd. Louisburg. www.stricklandfuneralhome.net
