GERALDINE WILLIAMS OAKES

YOUNGSVILLE - Geraldine Williams Oakes, 55, passed away on Wednesday May 24, 2017. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of Daphine Green Williams and the late William Newton Williams, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Douglas Oakes.

Geraldine owned Oakes Grading Company with her husband Robbie.

A funeral service was held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon May 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Register officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Geraldine is survived by her husband, Robbie Oakes; a daughter, Kaitlin Oakes; sons, Will Oakes and Jarred Oakes; mother, Daphine Green Williams; sister, Jennifer Haagen and husband Rene; mother-in-law; Jo Anne Oakes; a nephew, Erich Haagen; many aunts, uncles, nieces.
