GLORIA W. CLIFTON

LOUISBURG--Gloria Dean Williams Clifton, 91, of Louisburg, left us to be with the Lord on Friday, November 03, 2017 at Maria Parham Hospital. Born on February 21, 1926 to the late Captain Vannie Clair and Kathleen May Williams. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Clifton, Jr., and her sister, Evangeline Williams Strickland.

The family received friends Sunday from 2:00 to 2:45 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel where funeral services followed at 3:00 pm, with the Reverends Steven Wade and Ryan Chapman officiating. Interment followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Miriam Clifton of Louisburg, Van and Anne Clifton of Youngsville, Avery and Lisa Clifton of Epsom; her grandchildren, Bobby and Catherine Clifton, Michael and Angela Clifton, Mary and Eoin O'Riada, Jeremy and Margie Clifton, Philip Clifton, Jennifer and Robbie Curtis, Jamie & Jim Pearce; and twelve great-grandchildren.
