RACHEL L. MORGAN

LOUISBURG--Rachel Leonard Morgan, 89, of Rolesville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Born on January 24, 1929 to the late Sant Steven and Dollie Gupton Leonard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Elliott Morgan, Sr., and several of her siblings. She came from a big family with 12 children. She worked as a CNA in Fayetteville until she retired and moved to Rolesville to be near her family. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 14th, from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Reverend Bryan Greene officiating. Burial will be private.

She is survived by her daughters, Dene M. DeBruhl (James) of Raleigh and Diane M. Scott (Mitchell) of Longview, TX; son, John Elliott Morgan, Jr. (Karen C.) of Youngsville; grandchildren, Preston Cudd, Jr (Courtney) of Raleigh, Mark Cudd (Kim) of China, Kandra Scott of Longview, TX, Matt Morgan (Anna) of Mooresville and Brooke Morgan of N. Charleston, SC; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Samuel Cudd, Emerson and Cole Morgan; brothers, Alfred Leonard of Louisburg and Dan Leonard of Austin, TX.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 800 N. Main St., Rolesville, NC 27571. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
