FRANKLINTON--Floyd Warren Edwards, 66, of Franklinton died unexpectedly on September 28, 2018. He was born on August 18, 1952 to the late William Fenner Edwards and Daphine Pernell Pleasants. In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Niki Edwards.
Floyd, or "Woodsplitter" as he was known, was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a hard worker and loved driving heavy equipment.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Erin Edwards; his daughter, Heather Davis; stepsons, Kyle Finch and Carlton Curtis; and his brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Teresa Edwards.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, NC 27525. The family received friends immediately following the service.
