MATTIE PULLIAM WALKER KEITH

Mrs. Mattie Pulliam Walker Keith was born on August 27, 1927 in Baskerville, Virginia and departed from this life March 14, 2019 in Ocala, Florida.

She married the late Joseph Earl Walker on June 25, 1949 and was blessed with the gift of children. On October 16, 1987, she married the late William Henry Keith and made Orange, NJ their home.

At a young age, she was baptized and joined Lone Oak Baptist Church in Baskerville, VA; as a young adult, she moved north and attended New Hope Baptist Church, Newark, NJ; and when she retired from St. James Hospital, Newark, NJ, she moved with her husband "Bill" to Louisburg where she joined and became Mother at Ambassadors for Christ Ministries.

She leaves many to cherish her memory including her daughters Renée Walker of Cedar Grove, NJ; Josephine (Felix) Bernabela of Ocala, FL; Diane Thomas of Maplewood, NJ; Patricia Knight of Syracuse, NY; and Rev. Deborah (Everett) Boston of Morningside, MD; predeceased by youngest daughter, Joyce Walker; also surviving, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Laura Williams of Chase City, VA, and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Pulliam of Baskerville, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was funeralized at her home church, Lone Oak Baptist Church in Baskerville, Virginia, on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
