COLEEN W. PEARCE
October 13, 1922 - September 23, 2019

LOUISBURG - Coleen Winstead Pearce, 96, of Louisburg, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, September 23rd, 2019.

Coleen was born in Franklin County, North Carolina on October 13, 1922. Coleen was a daughter of the late Wiley and Nettie H. Winstead. She was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 77 years, Dan C. Pearce; son Danny Pearce; daughters and son-in-law, Barbara P. Gentry; Patricia P. and Darrell Cash, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Lisa S. and Ronnie Perry; Kenneth and Kim Strickland; Sherry C. and Steve Mercer; Heath and Denise Cash; Jennifer and Kenny Allen; Monica and Jeff Miller; Tracy M. Collins and Chris Tatum; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for several years. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great & great-great-grandmother, who enjoyed helping her family and friends in many special ways. Coleen retired from Westinghouse, Meter Division in Raleigh, after 17 years.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Rock Spring Baptist Church, with Rev. Melton Tyson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
