MACK C. JOYNER
September 26, 1928 - April 22, 2020

LOUISBURG - Mack Carlton Joyner, 91, of Louisburg, died Wednesday evening.

Mack was a son of the late Hampton and Annie B. Joyner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Audrey H. Joyner; sisters, Marie J. Moore, Doris J. Strickland, Lottie J. Hight and Zenith J. Cone; brothers, Paul Joyner, Harvey Joyner and Buck Joyner.

Mack proudly served his country in the United States Navy and Marine Corps. He then went on to own and operate his own trucking company until his retirement.

A private family service will be held in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home on Thursday.

Mack is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki J. and Steve Shehan of Raleigh; Carla J. and Todd Baker of Wake Forest; granddaughter, Amy Pearce Wood and her fiancé, David Myrick, II; great-granddaughters, McKayla Wood and Madeline Wood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to K9's Serving Vets, P.O. Box 173, Triangle, VA 22172.
