KITTY ARNOLD HOLMES

WHITEVILLE, NC- Kitty Arnold Holmes, 73, of Whiteville, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021, surrounded by her family in Garner, NC. She was born November 4, 1947, in Wake County, a daughter of the late Thomas "T.K." and Sarah (Hunt) Arnold. Kitty was predeceased by her husband, Roger Holmes, in 2003; her sister, Karen Crowder and her brother Danny Arnold.

Kitty was a school teacher for over 30 years in the Columbus County Schools system. She was a member of Whiteville United Methodist Church. Kitty enjoyed shopping, traveling and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her positive attitude, smile, and desire to help others.

Kitty is survived by her three sons: Jason Holmes and his wife, Suzanne, Kent Holmes and his wife, Kelly, and David Holmes and his wife, Heather; grandchildren: Harrison, Trent, Karsen, Greer, Henry, Mary Margaret and Sarah; a brother Tommy Arnold, and wife, Lisa, a sister-in-law, Linda Arnold and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Lancaster Memorial Park, Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Whiteville United Methodist Church, 902 Pinckney St, Whiteville, NC 28472, or to a charity of one's choice.
