Dec. 11, 1932 - Sept. 12, 2021

LOUISBURG, NC -- Grady C. Inscoe, 88 of Louisburg passed away Sunday morning at his home. He was a son of the late Philip R. and Josephine Inscoe of Castalia.
Grady graduated from NC State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was also a registered Land Surveyor.

He was a former resident of Burlington, NC and Richmond, VA, having worked for Western Electric, AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent for 31 years before retiring to his (GRA-BAR) farm in Castalia.

Grady was a man of strength and compassion for others. His life was a simple one, not a man of many words, but with a loving, gentle, kind and forgiving heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Barbara D. Inscoe, an infant daughter; brother, Philip G. Inscoe and stepdaughter, Wanda J. Walters.

A private family memorial service will be held Saturday at the Cedar Rock First Baptist Church, Castalia. Due to COVID, everyone is asked to wear a face covering.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Walters-Inscoe; son, Anthony D. Inscoe (Ann) of Greensboro; brother, Jim T. Inscoe (Elmore) of Montgomery, AL; stepchildren, Craig B. Walters (Jane) of Atlanta, GA; Sonya W. Yankoglu (Basil) of Cary; step grandchildren, Alex and Andie Yankoglu; several nieces and one nephew.

The family would like to thank Gertha Crudup and Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care during Grady's illness.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cedar Rock First Baptist Church, 4879 NC Hwy 56 E., Castalia, NC 27816 or Wanda Walters Scholarship Fund, Louisburg Baptist Church, PO Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549.
