L. JOHNSON BURNETTE
May 5, 1932 - October 7, 2021

LOUISBURG, NC - Lloyd Johnson Burnette, 89, of Louisburg, passed away Thursday morning Oct. 7, 2021 at his home.

Johnson was a son of the late William Cecil and Margaret Gilliam Burnette. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Burnette and his son, Michael Burnette; sisters, Wilma Murphy, Lou Leonard and Ida Pearl Abbott; brothers, Lonnie Burnette, Ben Burnette, Robert Glenn Burnette and Ronald Burnette. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family received friends following the service.

Johnson is survived by his; brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie and Alice Burnette; grandchildren, Jonathan Reeves, Jordan Reeves and C.J. Reeves; Megan Benson and Heather Morales; former wife, Faye Burnette; stepson, Stuart Robbins and his wife, Cindy; special family friends, Ashley, Kim, Eric, Sierra and Charles Ackroyd and James Hicks; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
