Linda Aileen Lancaster Rowe
August 4, 1923 - April 29, 2022

April 29, 2022, Linda Aileen Lancaster Rowe departed this earthly life from labor to reward as a band of heavenly angels escorted her soul to her heavenly home, to be greeted by Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to hear, "Welcome home thou good and faithful servant", and by the love of her life Bryant T. Rowe, Sr. She was born in Franklin County on August 4, 1923 and was the only child of Charlie Spruill Lancaster and Judith Boone Lancaster.

Linda's faith was a large part of her life. The Lord revealed to her that it was 'the little things', He expected of her. She took this seriously in working with Vacation Bible Schools, teaching Sunday School, the Church Bus Ministry, cooking cakes for shut-ins, providing meals and groceries and gifts to those in need. She was instrumental in getting the Nursing Home Ministry started in the county at the County Home. At this time, there were neither church services nor Christmas boxes provided to the residences. She talked to Mr. Place, Administrator, identified the need and then contacted various churches to commit to a Sunday service. Then at Christmas she started the 'Shoe Box' program, where each resident would receive a box. She sought every opportunity to share the gospel, whether it be church visitation, Bo Jangle's, or the grocery store. In the last few years she asked the Lord to send them to her.

For those that knew her, you knew that she was a bold witness for the Lord. In any conversation with family and/or strangers she would find a way to ask, "if you were to die tonight are you 100% sure that you will spend eternity in heaven? If not, let me tell you how you can be 100% sure." She would explain why one must be saved, how we got lost - the sin of Adam & Eve lost us in the Garden of Eden. How to be saved, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Jesus was born of a virgin, died on a cruel cross for you and me. Arose from the dead on the third day - the cross would have been in vain if He had not risen from the dead - He beat death so that we could have eternal life. He paid the price for our sins, a price that we could never pay on our own. Then she would share the sinner's prayer.

She leaves, to cherish her life, legacy and memory, sons, Bryant "B.T." Rowe, Jr; William Rowe (Sandra) and daughter Kaye R. Shearin; grandchildren, Kip Rowe (Donna), Ronnie Rowe (Michelle), Travis Rowe (Laura), Gabe Rowe (Nadine), Rick Shearin (Susan) and granddaughter, Cassandra R. Thompson; great grandchildren: Cassie, Claire, Morgan, Cali, Spencer, Logan, Payton, Sonya, Olivia, Chloe, and Anna Claire, great great-grandchildren: Blakely, Rowen, Radley, Millie and Brinkley.

The family would like to thank you for all yours acts of kindness, calls, visits, cards, gifts and most of all your prayers. We also want to give a special thank you to the kind and compassionate caregivers of the Franklin Oaks.

In Lieu of flowers please consider making a contribution to Faith Bible Church, 1343 McNair Rd, Tarboro, NC 27886 or to Centerville Baptist Church, 5823 NC HWY 561, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Mrs. Rowe will lie in state at the funeral home Sunday, from 12 - 4:00 pm. A graveside service will be held 11 am Monday at Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of Rick and Susan Shearin, 1138 NC 561 Hwy.
