James Harold Gilliam

LOUISBURG, NC--James Harold Gilliam, 84, of the White Level Community of Louisburg passed away on June 23, 2022. He was born on September 17, 1937, to the late Otha Vann and Eula Davis Gilliam. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Ann Nevils Gilliam and his sister, Mae Vann G. Smith.

The family received friends Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 2 - 2:45 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC 27549 where funeral services followed at 3 p.m. with Reverend Kaden Williamson officiating. Burial will be private.

James is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jama and Jeremy Stallings and his grandchildren, Josie and Joshua Stallings.

James was a simple, hardworking man. He loved his family and he loved White Level. James drove for Little River and then worked as a custodian at Edward Best School before retiring. He enjoyed tending to his home and his yard and checking on things to make sure they were as they should be.
