Louisburg, NC--Wesley "Orin" Edwards, 61, of Louisburg passed away on December 31, 2022. Orin was born on October 25, 1961 to the late John Boyd and Nancy Bowden Edwards.
Orin is survived by wife, Sandra Ball Edwards; his son, Matthew Kyle Edwards; his brothers, JB Edwards (Lisa), Marvin Edwards; brother-in-law, Jerry Ball (Donna); sisters-in-law, Anne Fagan (Bobby), Brenda Smith (Philip); nephews, Bryan Edwards, and Brandon Ball; nieces, Sarah E. Smith (Chad), Ashley Smith, and Lindsay Webster; and several great nieces and great nephews.
Orin was retired from NCDOT where he was given the nickname of "Big O". He was a retired Louisburg Fireman and currently worked at Oakes Grading Inc. . He loved cooking chicken, pigs and making his own BBQ sauce. Orin was happiest when with Sandra, Matt, and his family. Orin enjoyed vacations at the beach, and loved working storm clean-up trips with Matt.
A memorial service will be held at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Marshall Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
