Ann Overton Marshall

Henderson, NC--Ann Overton Marshall, 85, of Henderson passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Crowell Lee Overton Sr. and Tempie Ayscue Overton in Vance County, NC on October 1, 1937.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lonnie W. Radford Sr.; her second husband, James V. Marshall; two sons, Lonnie W. Radford Jr. and Michael W. Radford; and her sisters, Irene, Nancy and Lib.

She is survived by her daughter, Gaye Cawley; her three grandsons, Jason Radford (Rachel), Jeremy Radford (Anna), and Ryan Cawley; her daughter in love Nancy Radford; two brothers, George Overton, and Crowell (Butch) Overton; four great-grandchildren, Mialani, Shelly, Maes, and Remy; and her faithful friend and cousin that was with her until the end, Jo Ann Harris.

Ann retired from the Vance County School System as a Cost Accounting Clerk. She was a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church in Henderson, NC where she was very active until her health no longer allowed. Ann loved to be outdoors. She enjoyed mowing the lawn more than anything else. She loved her lawnmower, lovingly named "Buster" and her golf cart "Sally". She would spend hours just riding in the fields watching the cows and enjoying the outdoors. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed tremendously by her family and her friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of Nancy Radford.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services.
