KATHERINE J. ROBBINS
March 16, 1928 - July 14, 2023
Katherine Jeffreys Robbins

BUNN, NC -- Katherine Jeffreys Robbins, 95, of Bunn, went home to be with the Lord on Friday afternoon, July 14, 2023.

Katherine was a daughter of the late Charlie Davis Jeffreys and Nora Wheeler Jeffreys. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Humpy" Robbins; and sisters Jeanette Mullen and Joyce Whitley.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2023 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Visitation took place before the service from 10 - 10:45. Burial followed the service at the Old Bunn Cemetery.

Katherine worked for several years with the traffic department and Highway Patrol through the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. After her retirement, she enjoyed her time working as a greeter for the Carolina Mudcats baseball games. She was very active in her church, carrying on the prayer chain for years. She was a wonderful cook, especially known for her chocolate pie, which she made for many people. She loved bluegrass music, and always enjoyed listening to live music. She had a wonderful sense of humor, but her favorite thing in this life was spending time with her family that she loved very much.

Katherine is survived by her daughter, Trudy Robbins of Beaufort; sons Charles Robbins and wife Page of Wilmington, and Mack Robbins and wife Vickie of Pilot; grandson Eric Mullen and wife Cara of Raleigh; great-grandson Josh Mullen of Chicago; step-grandchildren Alison Squires (Ben) of Australia, and Dylan Marburg of New York; and step-great-grandchildren Alex and Lucy Page Squires of Australia, and Jean Marburg of Texas.

The family would like to thank the caregivers who have so lovingly taken care of our mother at home for the past three years.

Though we grieve the loss of Katherine's physical presence, we take solace in the knowledge that she has found eternal peace and has been reunited with her loved ones who preceded her. May her soul rest in eternal tranquility and may her memory forever be a blessing to us all.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katherine's name to Rock Springs Baptist Church at 34 Rock Springs Church Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
