Martin "Marty" George Brown
September 7, 1955 - July 29, 2023
Martin "Marty" George Brown

Martin "Marty" George Brown sweetly took the Lord's hand, surrounded by his family, on July 29, 2023, embracing eternal peace after battling Alzheimer's.

Marty was born on September 7, 1955 in Angola, Indiana, to George Marion Brown and Unice Lee Walker. He studied at North Carolina State University. Towards the end of his studies, he met his beloved wife, Tamara, leading to a blessed marriage. Together, they raised a loving family with three sons in North Carolina.

Marty's life was dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others. Marty was a Store Manager at Walmart for 30 years until his retirement. His genuine care for both customers and employees left a lasting impression in the communities where he worked. Outside of work, his family and church were most important. After retirement, Marty and his wife Tamara travelled cross country full time for almost 7 years.

Marty is remembered for his unwavering kindness, generous spirit, and sharp intellect. He loved the Bible, cars and history. His life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of showing empathy and compassion to others.

Marty leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 45 years Tamara, and their three adored sons, Nathan and his wife Jennifer, Aaron and his wife Kasey, and Jordan and his wife Heather.

He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Lillie, Amelia, Hayes, and Logan; and his sister Karen and his brothers Michael and Timothy. He will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life for Marty will be held on August 20, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 671 Beulah Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marty's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
