Bobby Dean Edwards
September 17, 1957 - February 22, 2024

Zebulon, NC-- Bobby Dean Edwards was born in Pink Hill, NC on September 17, 1957. He departed this earth on February 22, 2024. He is survived by his wife Marcia Jones Edwards and daughters Emily (John) Jones and Paula Edwards; grandsons Owen Weston and Waylon Jones; sister Georgia Bowman; brother Charles (Lisa) Edwards; sister-in-law Mary Ann Masterman (Ronnie) and sister-in-law Dottie Jones; nieces and nephews, many cousins, and extended family. He predeceased by his parents Roscoe and Ida Mae Edwards; brothers Chester Edwards, Tommy Edwards, Joseph Edwards and sisters Janice Edwards and Elzie Edwards Ezzell.

Growing up he attended various Duplin County Schools. Though he finished at Pender High School, James Kenan High School was his favorite. He attended Campbell University, James Sprunt Community College and East Carolina University.

Bobby was employed by Phillips Farms, Quinn's Wholesale, Kentec Warehouse, Georgia Pacific, and US Lumber. He went on to establish PipeMasters's in South Carolina working with his brother-in-law and nephews. He enjoyed his work and was skilled in plumbing, installing gas logs and gas lamps. Also, he enjoyed building things and was handy at construction. He knew a little bit about everything. He retired two years ago and has been home in North Carolina.

Bobby married his sweetheart, Marcia, on February 14, 1987. They celebrated their 37th anniversary last week. He loved his siblings, his daughters, and his grandsons very much, along with his nieces, nephews and extended family. Bobby admired all types of music and liked playing the guitar. He loved to spend his time fishing, cooking and hanging out with his grandsons. He was the best cook. He liked to make homemade pizza and biscuits. Bobby attended Pilot Baptist Church. He was baptized at Johnson Baptist near Warsaw.

A graveside service will be held at Whaley's Cemetery on Wagon Ford Rd., Pink Hill, NC Saturday March 2, 2024 at 2 p.m. Visitation is Friday March 1, 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Massey Funeral Home.

The family thanks you for your prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pilot Baptist Church for the Building Fund or Daycare Fund and/or Piney Grove Baptist Church.
