FAYE S. GRIFFIN
July 1, 1945 - November 17, 2024

LOUISBURG - Faye Strickland Griffin, passed away on November 17, 2024. She was a daughter of the late Staley and Lois Strickland of Louisburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty years, John W. Griffin, Sr.

Faye is survived by her son, John Wayne Griffin, Jr. and wife, Gina; daughter, Staley Griffin Medlin and husband, Jay; and by six unbelievably precious grandchildren: Allison Grace Barlow, Mackenzie Noel Griffin, Lacey Nicole Medlin, Millie Ashley Griffin, Greg (Nikki) Medlin and Stephanie (Chris) Sparks; great-grandsons Parker Medlin and Camryn Sparks; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Richard Smith; brothers and sister-in-law, Butch and Susan Strickland, and Jeff Strickland; her beloved Griffin sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Faye was born in Franklin County and spent most of life here. She was an active member of Louisburg Baptist Church, and also played bridge regularly with a group of wonderful ladies for many, many years. She was a homemaker when her children were young, and later helped Johnny at the dry cleaning business, and finally went to work at Louisburg College after they sold the business. In 2014 she retired and became a full-time Grandma which was her greatest joy.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Reverend David Averett and the Reverend Dr. Reggie Rushing at Louisburg Baptist Church on Friday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Louisburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549 or to the charity of choice.

The family is being served by Strickland Funeral Home, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
