Harold Cooley Chamblee
June 1, 1934 - April 26, 2025

RALEIGH, NC -- Harold Cooley Chamblee, 90, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Harold was born on June 1, 1934 to the late Eugene Grissom and Margie Chamblee. He was a Navy Veteran aboard the U.S.S Waldron(D-699).

He worked for over 30 years at Alcatel. He enjoyed hunting, small engine repair, baseball and football. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Liffie Belle Chamblee; son, Charles Wayne Chamblee; brothers; EG Chamblee, Julius Chamblee and Alex Donald Chamblee; sisters, Evelyn Price, Ida Sue Gerould, Karina Mae Chamblee and Iris C. Hill.

He is survived by his sisters; Judy Medlin and Eleanor Arnold; grandchildren, Charles Wayne Chamblee II, Christy Chamblee Yarborough and Tiffany Laureano; great grandchildren, Lakisa, Brooke Elizabeth, Rebecca Chamblee, Camden, Bella, Daniel and several great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to New Hope Christian Church at 2779 NC-98, Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at New Hope Christian Church 2779 NC-98, Louisburg, NC 27549.

A funeral service followed at 11 a.m., with Pastor Steve Barham officiating. Burial immediately followed in the church cemetery.
