Alma Marks Gupton
December 25, 1939 - December 8, 2025

LOUISBURG, NC -- Alma Marks Gupton, 85, of Louisburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Franklin Oaks Nursing on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Alma was born on December 25, 1939 to the late James Paul and Nellie Hicks Marks in Franklin County, NC.

In addition to her parents, Alma is preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Spencer Gupton, and her siblings, Lorene Bartholomew, Shirley Hunt, Peggy Ayscue and Helen Marks.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Bryan Gupton (Linda) and Kevin Gupton of Louisburg; her siblings, Jimmy Marks (Ellen), Paula Whitaker, and Lalage Cash (Dennis); special friend and caretaker Eloise Edwards as well as many nieces and nephews.

Alma was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Louisburg Manor as a CNA. Alma loved to cook and always made sure everyone was taken care of. She spent her life taking care of others both at her job and at home. Alma would always put everyone else's needs before her own. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, and will be officiated by Rev. Kaden Williamson. The family will accept friends and visitors one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to be given to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services of Louisburg.
