Youngsville, NC -- Wayne Lamont Godwin, 70, of Youngsville, NC passed away Friday morning, August 7, 2026. He was born on June 10, 1956 in Ocean County, NJ, to the late David and Georgia Godwin.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Wayne is survived by his son of the home Kenneth Godwin and husband Nathon Wall; his sister Sharon Godwin of Asheboro, NC; his daughter of the heart Amanda McManama of Radford, VA; along with a host of many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Per Wayne's wishes, no service will be held. A memory stone will be placed in the Mt. Zion Church cemetery Hwy 13, Godwin, NC at a later date.
