BUNN - Wiley Thomas “T” Hill, Jr., 73, of Bunn passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at his home.  He was the son of the late Wiley Thomas Hill, Sr., and Mamie Wiggins Hill.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Buck” Hill.  He was a long-time employee of F & F Equipment in Henderson. Later he opened his own business, Hwy 98 Repair, where he enjoyed working on farm equipment.

During his six-year stint as the Louisburg College baseball coach, Godwin would depart his Nash County home every morning in his trusty-but-rickety Datsun pickup truck.
It was a time Godwin always relished, as he would often ponder the responsibilities of life as the aging pickup would take him through Castalia, and then on to SR 56 through Edward Best -- and eventually to Louisburg.

BURLINGTON -- In USA South Conference Softball Tournament action, North Carolina Wesleyan ended its season with a 9-4 loss to Ferrum College last Saturday morning in Burlington.
Senior Kate Braun was 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the Bishops, who had opened tourney play with a 3-0 shutout of Averett on Friday.  NCWC’s other loss in the double-elimination event came at the hands of top-seeded Christopher Newport later in the afternoon.
