Not happy with the roads that Novant and Obama are taking

As Ronald Reagan would say, “Here we go again.” This letter is in reference to the hospital (FRMC) and Asher’s recent comments and more.
I do not know why it has taken so long for people to see that Novant is any different from HMA or any of the other parties interested in moving our hospital to a far corner of the county.

T.J. and Treva Todd of The Rivers Golf Course, Louisburg, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 13, 2010 at the Fargo Steakhouse in Zebulon. The 4th Annual Lee Fowler Scholar-Athlete Awards presentation was held Tuesday, Feb. 9, following the Louisburg College women’s basketball victory over Brunswick Community College, 99-48.
The Lee Fowler Scholar-Athlete Awards Program was established at Louisburg College in 2005, both in honor of Lee Fowler, the director of athletics at North Carolina State University, and to encourage student-athletes at Louisburg to be scholar-athletes. They are awarded to all varsity student-athletes who earn a semester average of 3.0 or higher.

KENLY -- After splitting their regular-season series at one game apiece, it was almost considered a toss-up to see which club between Bunn and Louisburg would take home the title following last Friday’s championship game at the Northern Carolina Conference Boys Basketball Tournament.
As if on cue, the squads dueled to the wire before the Wildcats came away with a 51-48 decision in a thriller at the North Johnston High School Gymnasium.

County squads start playoffs
FRANKLIN COUNTY -- Five Franklin County teams qualified for the Class 2-A State Basketball Playoffs, but only two were remaining following Monday’s opening night of postseason competition.
Both Bunn’s boys and girls, playing at home as part of a doubleheader, were able to come away with victories.
BHS’ girls defeated Cedar Ridge (see story on page 10), while the boys claimed a 60-53 decision against Durham School of the Arts.

GREENVILLE -- Second-ranked Virginia (2-1) held off a late rally by No. 11 East Carolina University (1-2) Sunday afternoon and took the rubber-match of the three game series 14-11 at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium.
Heading into the bottom of the eighth, the Cavaliers held a commanding 13-4 lead before the Pirates came roaring back by putting a seven spot on the board in front of 4,774 fans cutting the lead to two, 13-11.
