Rachel Kearney Davis, wife of Oscar Lelon Davis, Jr., died on December 22, 2015. She was born, in Hamlet, NC, to the late Henry Crawford and Mary Gordon Kearney. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary K. East. Rachel grew up in Franklinton, NC, graduated from high school there and attended St. Mary's College in Raleigh, NC, where she finished in business. Rachel worked in her father's law office for a year before becoming secretary to the Burlington Industries Plant Manager in Franklinton for four years. She met Oscar when he came to work at the Franklinton Plant in 1951 and they were married May 15, 1954.
