PITTSBORO - Major John Christopher Harper, U.S. Army Retired, 50, of Pittsboro, died Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 2019. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June, 1, at Louisburg Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

WHITAKERS--Funeral services for David Dunn, 92, who died Sunday, May 26, 2019, will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 12 noon at Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church in Rocky Mount. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.

OXFORD--Fannie J. Conyers, 96, died Friday, May 24, 2019 at Toney Rest Home, Inc. in Oxford. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, at 1 p.m. at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church, Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Baptist Church cemetery, Bunn.

LOUISBURG--Henry Bunnie "H.B" Shearin, Jr., 88, of Louisburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was born on April 1, 1931 to the late Henry B., Sr and Rosa Mae Gupton Shearin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Thomas Allsbrook, Earl Creech Shearin, Ronald Shearin, and Hugh Gaither Shearin. H.B. served our country in the U.S. Army.

LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Plummer Haywood Reed, 65, who died Saturday, May 25, 2019, will be held Saturday, June 1, at 12 p.m. at Cedar Rock Baptist Church in Castalia with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Rock Church cemetery.
