The Louisburg Moose Lodge is planning a Brunswick Stew sale, take-out only, on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 1 - to 4 p.m.

Farmers market open Fridays
The Franklin County Farmers Market is open Fridays from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Shannon Village Shopping Center, Louisburg. Turnip salad, sweet potatoes, cabbage, squash, zucchini, snaps, vine-ripe tomatoes, pasture-raised pork, beef, chicken, lamb, farm-fresh eggs, and local honey, fresh baked goods and sourdough bread as well as unique handmade crafts, fresh-cut flowers and plants for home and garden are available.

LHS Class of 1985 plans reunion
All members of the Louisburg High School Class of 1985 are invited as the class celebrates its 40th reunion, a three-part event, the weekend of Sept. 26 to 28, in Wake Forest.

Bunn Lions plan golf tourney
The Bunn Cert Lions Club is planning a golf tournament fund raiser -- and needs 23 teams to register in advance for the event. The tourney is slated for 8 a.m. Sept. 27 at the River Golf Course, 170 Clear Water Road, Louisburg.

Scouting Round Up Night planned
Cub Scout Pack 510 and Boy Scout Troop 555 are joining together to have Scouting Nights on Mondays at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Louisburg United Methodist Church on North Main Street
A special Scout Round Up Night is planned for Sept. 29 at the same location.
All boys ages 5 to 17 are invited to join Scouting.

Piedmont Forest Landowners' Summit
The Piedmont Forest Landowner's Summit will be conducted Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the Chatham County Agricultural & Conference Center in Pittsboro
A diverse group of speakers will present on a variety of topics related to forestry, conservation and wildlife. The cost for the summit is $35 and includes a light breakfast and catered lunch.
