FRANKLINTON, NC -- Sandra English Sladkey, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her home in Franklinton, N.C.
She was born in Elmira, New York and the daughter of the late Evelyn (Keck) English and Richard A. English of Wellsboro, PA. Her sister, Carole Seitz and brother, Richard Jr. English preceded her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Craig A. Sladkey, daughters Kathy Johnson Creech (Durward), Tina Johnson Jessup, grandchildren Christina Bolton (Tim) and Colin Creech (Kim), Amanda Wood (Ian), Josh Jessup(deceased) and 10 great grandchildren.
Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved her pets, planting flowers, the beach and family pool. She retired from N.C. Farm Bureau Insurance after 25 years of service.
Memorial service will be held October 12 at 3 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.
